3 Important Habits to Promote a Good Morning
Morning and night routines are so important to maintain your wellness regimen. What do your morning and night routines look like? Are you satisfied? How intentional are you with your time at both ends of the day?
I'll be the first one to admit that I am not the best at either of these. I tend to be the person who taps the snooze button repeatedly in the mornings. I also tend to wait until I am too tired to "care" at night and just flop on the bed.
I did a little bit of research, and I am excited to share with you just a 3 easy things you can do each morning to maintain a wellness regimen.
AVOID TECHNOLOGY. If you are not tapping the snooze button for more sleep, you may be tapping the snooze button as you lay in bed scrolling on your phone. 15-30 minutes can go by so fast when you are scrolling on your phone or computer, destroying any structure you may want to put into your morning. I have completely resorted to turning off all of my notifications except for calls and text messages so that when I wake up in the morning and check my phone for the time or weather I am not bombarded with notifications.
DRINK WATER. This one is simple, but so important. After sleeping for 6+ hours, your body is ready for hydration. Make sure to start your day well hydrated with a tall glass of water and not just coffee. Some people like to start their day with hot water and lemon drops, or lemon juice for an extra boost of wellness!
EAT BREAKFAST. It is important to start your day with a solid and nutritious meal! Avoid skipping this meal and do your best to at least eat something, and it is always recommended to add some protein to the mix!
