5 Warm Natural Energy Drinks to Boost Your Day
Most people enjoy an energy-boosting drink either at the beginning of their day, or mid-way through. In a previous post, I shared how to keep caffeine healthy as it is not necessarily something that affects our bodies negatively unless abused, from unnatural sources or with unnecessary additives. Today I want to share with you some of my favorite natural beverages that help boost my energy levels in a healthy manner.
This one is obvious, duh. Coffee is the most popular drink that people use to increase their energy levels. You may drink your coffee black or with milk and as long as you don't add sugar or other unnatural additives it is considered healthy. No more than 2-3 cups of coffee is recommended a day and if symptoms such as insomnia, restlessness and irritability begin to rise you should reconsider your coffee intake. Chai Tea is one of my favorite spiced teas. It is a blend of black tea with strong spices like cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger and black peppercorns. Chai Tea is known to enhance the immune system, fight inflammation and is a great source of antioxidant properties. This tea will certainly do more to your body than just help you wake up. Chai Tea is excellent on it’s own and also pairs great with your choice of steamed milk. Due to its spice content it needs no sugar.
I was introduced to this drink at my local coffee shop. It is amazing and so simple to make. It basically consists of Earl Grey Tea combined with steamed milk. You can add other spices like vanilla, or a pinch of lavender to enhance its floral scent. This drink is absolutely delicious and well balanced. When it comes to tea I always recommend you purchase organic and loose leaf for best taste, quality and also to reduce waste.
Matcha Lattes are becoming increasingly popular because they are pretty and surprisingly delicious. Matcha is a type of green tea and because it is made from crushed leafs the caffeine content is higher than bagged green tea. This tea is jammed packed with health benefits as it is full of antioxidants. This tea boosts your memory and concentration, burns calories, detoxifies your body and fortifies your immune system. Matcha lattes can be made with 1-2 teaspoons of sifted matcha mixed in hot water. You can add milk if desired.

A proper cup of hot chocolate is not only incredibly delicious, healthy but also full of energy.I would not be surprised if you (especially if you live in the USA) haven’t tried a warm cup of hot cocoa made from scratch with pure ingredients and if that is the case, here is your opportunity to do so.
