DIY Make-Up Primer

This all natural make up primer is so easy to make and it is very affordable. All you will need is Aloe Vera, a facial moisturizer and foundation powder. I opt to also add essential oils because of all their beauty benefits.

In a container mix:

  • 2 TBS of facial moisturizer. (I love using prefer YL's Sandalwood Moisturizing Cream because it just does wonders to my type of skin)
  • 2-4 TBS of Aloe Vera Gel (This is the CORE ingredient)
  • 1/3-1/4 tbs of Foundation Powder (I really think this was an important ingredient as it helps the primer be less watery and gives it a unique consistency. My favorite powder is from SAVVY MINERALS - all natural)
  • 1 drop of Frankincense or Tea tree essential oil (I use frankincense on my face, it has helped my face clear and brighten. Keep in mind that  different skins react different to different oils so for a while you may find yourself figuring out what your face likes)

Mix until the consistency feels right and is easily absorbed by your skin. Do not add any oils like almond, or coconut unless you have SUPER dry skin, the moisturizer is usually plenty!

*This amount can last you up to 2-3 months! When using this primer you must let it absorb for a few minutes before you apply foundation- and don’t forget to put some in your eye lids too, it works wonders! I can’t believe how much longer my make-up lasts.
